My dad lovingly tends to this garden all spring, then summer hits, we all go on holiday and the garden takes over. This is when I love it most, on warm summer evenings which fade into autumn. Corn, pumpkin and tomato tangle over each other. The parsley competes with the lettuce. We compost, so anything could start growing. Minka (the cat) gets back to her roots, envisioning herself as a panther – stalking prey (insects) through the jungle (garden). And I roll around in the grass taking photos of it all, while J waits patiently playing on his phone.
