I have been blessed by the wine gods! But which wine to drink first? Three bottles of champagne, two pinot noirs, one bottle of riesling, one rosé & one rioja have all been gifted to me by various lovely people. I’m so excited! My wine collection has begun. I didn’t even know I wanted a wine collection.
Currently they are being stored in a wine pig next to the laundry machine, but that is beside the point.
I am looking forward to drinking them & posting hilarious amateur reviews – I took a wine paper at university you know – so I’m qualified. We sat around, swilled wine in our glasses from a mysterious brown paper bagged bottle & thought of red fruits, grassy notes & astringency. You got marks based on participation. 10/10 would recommend WINESCI 201 at The University of Auckland if you are interested. Beware, the multi choice final exam is a killer – and I’m not kidding.
Anyway back to the matter at hand. This friends is my wine cellar, and I need a hand choosing the first bottle to drink! I’ll update here when I get new bottles and with links to the reviews when I drink them.
Bonne journée mes amis
I’ll drink responsibly – promise x
