A few cool things I have found whilst living and perusing the Internet. Some of these gifts excite me so much, but I don’t have anyone quite right people to give them too – please give someone theses gifts!
For the creative types:
1. Sarah K Benning (find her on instagram or etsy) makes amazing embroidery patterns, released each month. With beginner and advanced patterns available it doesn’t matter if they have never embroidered before or if they helped make the Bayeux tapestry. Download one, and head to craft store to DIY a little kit!
2. Wool and the Gang, or We Are Knitters kits. These two companies make some of the most luxurious wool and kits – again in all levels so even a novice can make a jumper for the winter.
3.The Caker baking mixes. Perfect last minute, or cheaper yet still looks flash gift. I like to pick up a few and have them as back up birthday or Christmas gifts. So far the Dutch chocolate cookies are my favourite, but I am always a sucker for a biscuit to go with my tea.
For the friend who is more on trend than you:
For me this is about everyone… Again instagram is the perfect place to stalk out gifts!
Every Outfit on Sex and The City (everyoutfitonsatc) merch! I love their hilarious takes on sex and the city. Please go see their site for a good laugh and some pressies!
Goldirock’s – Crystals: the modern guide to crystal healing. If your friends are on trend they are bound to be embracing the new age mainstream revival that is apparently happening. They will also then need to know how to heal themselves using crystals. Honestly this book is worth it just for the photos.
For the ecowarrior:
Buy them a plant! I’m serious, maybe a fruit tree or a lot of spinach seedlings. If they don’t have a backyard include a large pot too. Bonus points if the gift is a heritage variety and locally sourced.
Even better make them some beeswax wraps for food storage! No more Clingfilm, only fantastic picnics and leftovers!
So that’s about it. If you have any other dreamy gift tips, please pop them in the comments below, we all have tricky people to buy for!
